- I was born profoundly deaf but wasn’t diagnosed until the age of two, which is when I immediately started wearing two hearing aids and going through Auditory Verbal Therapy. My hearing and discrimination got worse in 2005, which is when I got my Advanced Bionics Cochlear Implant. Now I wear the CI on my right ear and a hearing aid on my left. I'm a student at North Georgia College and State University majoring in Marketing and Graphic Design.
